bare plaster Explanation: I understand the term "crua" means the plaster on the wall is left unpainted and unpolished, with an "unfinished" look. |

pale sandy fawn (beige) plaster Explanation: A village like Cadaqués, would fit the bill for the options that Peter and Darwinista provide. http://www.callejeandoporelplaneta.com/diez-pueblos-catalane... Yet, in context, "es confonen amb el terreny", indicates that the villages become almost "camouflaged" with the "terrain", with the light brown soil... So, that's why I advance this option, that may work, if one considers that there are not that many "raw white plaster" villages in Catalunya, if you compare it with "los pueblos blancos de Huelva"..., to give a clear example. Whatever it is, probably the rest of your context can help you to determine it better. And while I have given my basic agreement to the previous input, I tend to believe that "cru" is referring to the "beige" color, typical of many Catalonian villages. Vilassar de Dalt, for example, would be a clear example of this "pale sandy fawn, beinge plaster". https://www.google.com/search?q="Vilassar de Dalt"&espv=2&so... Vilanova i la Geltrú is another one, https://www.google.com/search?q="Vilanova i la Geltru"&espv=... Vilafranca del Penedés https://www.google.com/search?espv=2&biw=1280&bih=713&tbm=is... Bona sort, noia! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day8 hrs (2017-04-25 23:50:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Hey, here is another example of village, with this typical Catalonian "beige plaster"... http://www.publico.es/espana/catalunya/abstencio-fantasmes.h... |
