Cogent is a brand name of a provider
We have Internap, Cogent, and soon level3 here.. and except for a small handful of times, Cogent is really great.
For MOST people, Cogent bandwidth is more than adequate quality. It's a fraction of the cost, and you get what you pay for.. and they're getting better and better every day.
But I do agree.. don't go to a host that has only Cogent. For that matter, don't use a host that only has one provider. There is no excuse these days for having a single upstream.
