En una traducción del inglés al español sobre control de calidad de producción de corcho, me aparece el término "shanks". El contexto es el siguiente:
- "Scientific GC analysis is conducted at key stages of production, including raw materials processing and production of granules, discs, _shanks_ and natural cork stoppers"
- "For technical corks, the granules will be treated before the _shanks_ are made; discs will be treated before they are joined to the _shanks_."
En http://www.italianwinesociety.com/tips/pf/corkscrews.htm, he visto que "shank" es "the body of the screw above the worm" en un sacacorchos, pero me parece que aquí no tiene mucho que ver... ¿Alguna pista? Muchas gracias.
