Does anyone know the meaning of the following, and are they able to help provide information/a link to a definition and/or where this terms is actually used in context/in discussion? The term is used when referring to someone's possessions and dividing them up between people after they have passed away.

I'm surprised that so many people have answered with no context. You've said 'the meaning of the following', but nothing follows.

@sevie Rather than explaining in English, if you post an example of the broader context (for example, a sentence, or full paragraph) where the term/s appear, we might be able to suggest more suitable translations.

Four things OR a few things

In colloquial Spanish in Spain, "cuatro cosas" often means just a handful of things, like, "cuando me fui de viaje me llevé cuatro cosas".

It doesn't necessarily mean exactly four things, but in the right context it can. For example, if your context says something like, "A María le damos dos cosas y a Nacho le damos cuatro cosas", it is definitely using it as a finite number.

It can also be used as part of the idiom "decir cuatro cosas a alguien":

We'd really need the context, the sentence where you found it, to be able to tell you the exact definition.

This is not much help, as it won't let you preview the full page, but this appears to be where the phrase appears. It's from the same book as the asker's other questions.

Help us out with the full context, sevie!
