sezione dibattimentale

FVA Italian to English Law/Patents Law (general)
In un dispositivo di sentenza, come rendere questa dicitura? La frase completa (solitamente da compilare) è "Tribunale di XXXXX - sezione dibattimentale, composto da..."

Sara Staccone (asker) May 17, 2023:
Indeed, this isn't about a hearing, but some sort of board (?) or section of the city's court, hence why I opened another thread...
philgoddard May 17, 2023:
We've had this a few times before, but the context is slightly different:

(Penal) Hearing Section

Although 'fase dibattimentale' corresponds to 'pleading stage', the actual 'Sezione Dibattimentale' refers to 'Hearing Section'.

(civ. UK) Contentious Business Section

dispositivo di sentenza : operative part of a judg(e)ment suggests a civil scenario, but - as usual - whether the case is a civil / shipping, courts-martial or criminal one (if the latter, I agree with Trial Division) etc. is not spelt out, so leaving us to second-guess.

PS The mantra chanted of 'we've had this one before' may not indicate that the answer chosen is the definitive one.
Example sentence:

E&W: Section 74 of the 1974 Act (section 74) is entitled “Special provisions as to contentious business done in county courts”

Note from asker:
The articles referred to in the judgement are from the Italian "cpp" so I guess I'll go with Trial Division in this case - thank you so much!
