Swedish term
pågjutning av plast på metall
Swedish to English
Tech/Engineering
Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Plastics
Hello
This looks simple but all my attempts to translate it more or less literally like "casting of plastic onto metal" get zero or very few hits on Google. I then found "overmouding" and the description of this process seems to match what I think the Swedish means
"Overmoulding" gets hits of course but as soon as I try "overmoulding of plastic on(to) metal" or other similar phrases, I'm back to very few Google hits.
What skulduggery is going on here?
Any help appreciated

Thanks for the feedback. As I discussed above with that reference.
Here's another reference to distinguish from other possibilities.

Thanks, Adrian! Your like right, but hey, I can't control my fingers to spell it any other way! ;-)

Without further context, I can't be sure, but it sounds like you are right. See ref.

Thanks
This context involves 'insert molding' where the finished metal part is inserted into the plastic as the plastic is molded. So the plastic is not 'molded onto the metal.' Rather the metal is 'combined' with the plastic which is being molded. Yeah, its my spelling convention for molding! ;-)
Confirm this context and I'll submit an answer.
