Spanish term

Efectos a cobrar

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting EDI, logistics, e-billing
SPAIN. This appears in the heading in a list of headings that appear in an online e-billing form. My problem is that it has been translated on previous occasions by the same client as "items to be charged", as well as "Accounts payable" and "Bills payable", so I'm really just looking for opinions as to which option our colleagues think would be the most suitable, As for context, the preceding and following headings are not much help:

"Información de compras
Requisitos o demandas de calidad
Instrucciones de cotización
Información reguladora
Información de retorno a origen
Efectos a cobrar
Instrucciones de rutas solicitadas"

Discussion

Luis M. Sosa Mar 25, 2023:
@neil I think Pat's last 2 notes settle any discussion.
neilmac (asker) Mar 25, 2023:
@Luis Yes, this is how I understand it.
Luis M. Sosa Mar 24, 2023:
@neil I would say 'items' fits well. There might be some items that must be billed and maybe some others need not. In other words, in one transaction, there free items and some others that are not. Then it cannot be equated with 'payables'. Is this the right context?

Trade notes receivable

"a cobrar" is "receivable"

Trade notes receivable (TNRs) are documents received from a customer with the commitment to pay the amount due after a certain period of time (a promissory note). If you create a TNR, the open invoice entry is replaced with the payment document. Such TNRs can be endorsed or discounted.

Note from asker:
Interesting,
That last link tipped the balance for me (although I'm still leaving it as "items to be charged" for this client until further notice). Thanks to everyone for contributing on this query.
Peer comment(s):

agree Adrian MM. : in line with West, so 'dodges the US draft' vs. UK bill of exchange.
