I don't think there's anything wrong with the word "carcasa" here.
Please google "electronic equipment enclosures", and you'll see that they're more than just "boxes". Besides, there are standards for them (i.e. NEMA standards).
In my opinion, "caja" may fall short or even be mistaken for a "carton box."

I might have chosen "carcasa" too, but see the link in the reference, which refers specifically to the domain: 6826 electronics and electrical engineering [ INDUSTRY ]. That being the case, "caja" seems to be the best option.

Ciertamente enclosure puede traducirse como caja o gabinete (entre otras acepciones), pero, dado que las directrices están relacionadas con Sustancias peligrosas en equipos eléctricos y electrónicos, Uso bajo determinados voltajes y Compatibilidad electromagnética ¿no será mas conveniente expresarlo como un equipo/producto confinado?
