French term

inversement; inverses

French to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng AI networks
Context:

Editing task and this has been translated as either converse, inverse or reverse. My searches lead me to think that "inverse" is the correct term.

Can someone verify this please?

@ FPC By the time I had got to the end it did eventually dawn on me that a lot of the equations were in fact inverse functions which obviously helped enormously. There were other examples where the calculation was done in a reverse manner. I think that on completion I had them in the correct place. Thanks for your explanation.
FPC Nov 2, 2022:
As your link says they're all generally fine with shades of meaning, connotations, that may make you want to prefer one over the others. Then sometimes it's just a matter of convention and jargon.
"Inversement" in your text (first instance) could be translated with "conversely" or "inversely" (see. https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/inversely), it talks about constructing an application from the second space into the first one (that is the opposite, the other way round as what mentioned immediately earlier in the text) as far as I can understand.
On the other hand, when it's an adjective for a mathematical function/application it's "inverse". In mathematics it's always "inverse" function and "to invert" the function (that is to find the inverse of a given function).

If anyone is interested have a look at this explanation

which still leaves me confused.

conversely

isn't it an adverb here?

See my lengthy comment above. I perhaps should have put a different paragraph in as context.
