Spanish term

Prestador de Servicios de Confianza

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) e-Billing - participants
Spain and LatAm. I know what a service provider is, but it's the 'confianza' part I'm not sure about. I'm surprised this isn't in the proz glossaries already.

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (3): Adoración Bodoque Martínez, AllegroTrans, patinba

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

@Taña 'Mony a mickle maks a muckle' :)
Taña Dalglish Oct 5, 2022:
@neilmac Yep! No problem! However, my goodness - brevity? For 2 additional letters, "ed"? LOL. But ...
neilmac (asker) Oct 5, 2022:
@Taña The link uses "trustED service provider", and other sources prefer "trust services". I think in the end I'm just going to use Matt's suggestion, if only for the brevity.
Taña Dalglish Oct 5, 2022:
@neilmac Electronic service providers confidence https://sede.serviciosmin.gob.es/en-us/firmaelectronica/pagi...
Regulation (EU) No 910/2014 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 23 July 2014 on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions in the internal market and amending Directive 1999/93 repealing / EC states that there are two types of trusted service provider, skilled and unskilled.
The definitions in Article 3 applied in the Regulation on service providers are as follows:
*** «trusted service provider», a natural or legal person who provides one or more trust services, as well as qualified provider or service provider unqualified confidence.***

@Matt That's a link to the Spanish government site. However, their translations tend to be machine generated and not always trustworthy. As for more context, how much do you need? The overall context is the service provider company's Statement of Practices.

More context would be useful.

Trust Service Provider

Looks like it's to do with electronic certificates, signatures, etc.

See links for more references.
Note from asker:
Apologies. I do a lot of work in this area, so I thought it was obvious that it was about e-certificates/e-signature/electronic seals etc. I’ve just realised that it’s a bit more recondite than I thought. Thanks for posting.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks again to everyone who contributed on this one. Both trusts/trusted seem to be used interchangeably in this area."

assurance services provider

Without further context, this would be my suggestion.

Note from asker:
I have provided some more context in the discussion, although I really don't think it helps much. Basically the answer I'm looking for is either 'trust' or 'trusted', and I'm just looking for confirmation of which is the most widely used or accepted when translating the "de confianza" part.

So, to answer a question you posed to one proposal, I believe what you are looking for is "Trusted Service Provider".
