"Nació en casa habitación" gets only four hits, and all are the same post on the Facebook page of the Mexican consulate in Atlanta. It says "el acta dice que nació en casa habitación".

In my experience you never get additional context, or thanks, or other interaction of any kind, from non-logged-in visitors. But I'd love to be proved wrong. I also wonder what this is doing on a birth certificate, assuming that's what it is.

If we're going to just "breenge in" with zero context, we might as well just throw stuff at the wall to see if it sticks. And "born in a bedsit" (7,240 results) alliterates nicely.

Another option could be "room and kitchen" - not the modern fancy design kind, but the old ones from back in the day in the Glasgow tenements.

Using my imagination (as asker is new to the site) it would seem that the text might come from some formal birth document form where such generic descriptions might appear. Born at home in other words.
