Estoy traduciendo un certificado de la República de Estonia denominado "Certificate of registration as a person liable to value added tax".
Quien se registra es en realidad una empresa, que se registra como "person liable to value added tax with limited liability", lo que significa que la empresa "does not have the right to deduct input value added tax".
Siendo los sistemas distintos, ¿se os ocurre cómo decirlo en castellano?

Aunque el término más apropiado en castellano sería "sujeto pasivo", el hecho de que los sistemas tributarios sean distintos sugiere que quizá ese término no existe o no es igual en el idioma original. "Responsable" del impuesto es un término más amplio que significa lo mismo y se adhiere más al original en inglés.
