French term (edited):
mansions

tasks
Typo for "missions" that has then been changed to "mansions" by a spellchecker.
Employees need to be physically fit to carry out certain tasks.
That's my hunch.

: Yes, I feel sure you're right here! I'd say perhaps 'specific work' as being more general like 'mission', rather than 'task' on a more detailed level.

Thanks very much Tony! The word "mission" always wrecks my head...mission statements, blah, blah, blah! ;-)

Discussion
"Mansione" does indeed appear to mean "task", going on my research just now.
So "mansione" was left more or less as is, and other parts of the text sound a bit unnatural too, "en tant que nécessaires" (en tant que de besoin) and "orientation religieuse" (religion).
It seems that questions about religion are allowed in Italy.
"In esso si dichiara se il lavoratore è idoneo, o meno, a svolgere una determinata mansione."
"It declares the worker’s fitness, or otherwise, to perform certain tasks."
" Dans celui-ci, on confirme si le salarié est apte ou non à exercer une mansion déterminée."

Whether the source has been a mistranslation from Italian or whether this is a French word for tasks (although I can't find any mention of it in French in this sense), I'm not sure.
