: could you explain that in this particular context where it's a airport service?// Great "explanation" and there are NO relevent Ghits. How about some refs? Links? // how does this support your contention that this is a service?

I asked Katarina for proof that "sendoff bar, sendoff lounge, sendoff boutique" exist but none has been given. Try Googling these terms individually and it's clear they Do NOT EXIST in English. There are, as I said initially, "departure lounges" but bars, restaurants, and duty-free shops are IN THE departure area (for passengers only). They are not called "departure bars/shops" and certainly not "sendoff bar, sendoff lounge, sendoff boutique" !!
When FR borrows words from EN or creates pseudo-anglicisms, the EN meaning is often distorted in all sorts of weird and wonderful ways! Which is why I would check the meaning with the client if possible.
-Could be a type of waiting area as you mentioned, which would offer a quiet, cozy space just before boarding and would allow passengers to spend a last moment with family/friends ... together before saying goodbye.
-or maybe a type of VIP service provided from the staff (if it can fit with your overall context),
For example:

Do they mean services at the airport departures area perhaps?
