Hi,
Does anyone know what a 'cathédrale' is?
It's to do with environmental building control systems.
It's mentioned in a list of facilities and equipment that can be built and installed by an engineering company. It just says
- Sorbonnes ou cathédrales
A 'Sorbonne' is a fume cupboard/hood: https://www.proz.com/kudoz/french-to-english/medical-pharmac...
Thanks.

Possibly 'cathédrale' refers to the meaning of translucent glass? See Larousse: Verre cathédrale, type de verre translucide destiné à laisser passer la lumière sans que l'on puisse distinguer les objets au travers.
See the pictures using the 2 links below. For the second link, scroll down to 'hotte cathédrale'. I'm not sure what the translation would be, but maybe this could be helpful in determining that?

Description and photo of 'HOTTE CATHÉDRALE" here:

While one of the photos in the second link shows a 'hood'
with a bench inside it, the others are what are referred to
below as 'WALK-
IN' or 'FLOOR-MOUNTED' fume hoods, i.e. you can wheel
trolleys into them or have tall lab apparatus set up inside
them.
Here there's a photo of what some Germans call a 'tall fume
hood':

conversion/methods_en.html
Then there's this 10-ft tall 'WALK-IN FUME HOOD':

in-fume-hood/
This site -
https://www.labconco.com/category/high-performance-low-volum...
- describes 'FLOOR-MOUNTED FUME HOODS', specifying that they are sometimes incorrectly
referred to as 'walk-in fume hoods'.
