Na anglojęzycznych stronach "chair" często (ale nie zawsze) ma podłokietniki, natomiast "side chair" z definicji nie ma ich.
Po polsku "krzesło" znaczy domyślnie: bez podłokietników. Gdy ma podłokietniki, to wtedy jest "krzesłem z podłokietnikami".
