Este término aparece en la carta de un restaurante.
Sé que en una consulta anterior se traduce pescado del día por fresh fish of the day, pero mi pregunta es si hay alguna posibilidad más para traducir esta expresión. Por ejemplo, sería correcto "catch of the day shellfish" o mejor "fresh shellfish of the day"?

The standard term is "catch of the day"; you catch lobsters too! Rarely do you see "shellfish of the day" on a menu, IMO. In any event, it is the Asker's choice to choose which of the options I provided (2 of them).

I disagree. Often "catch of the day" means caught within 24 hours; there are countries which eat more fish/shellfish than others, e.g. Spain, and those high priced restaurants (Michelin restaurants) would not be serving frozen shellfish, so sorry!
agree Kristina Love : "Catch of the day" is something I've seen in restaurants a lot - I've never seen it any other way. It means any fresh-caught seafood. "Marisco" is the word for shellfish, but it also serves as the word for seafood.

Thank you Kristina. I agree with your comment too. Nor have I seen "shellfish of the day" at all and rarely have I seen "seafood of the day" on a few trusted sites.

Thanks, but I believe you are playing semantics. What is means and I took this from the dictionary is: "a type of fish or other seafood which has been caught and brought to market within the last 24 hours", i.e. freshly caught!.

Seafood of the day

implying that particular seafood or shellfish landed that day, which can obviously vary from day to day; ' seafood' is more generalised, but is usual taken to mean shellfish, rather than conventional fish. That would be a typical way to describe it here in the UK.

Fish of the day

Having worked at restaurants “fish of the day” is the correct translation to this term, however “catch of the day” is used as well to avoid sounding repetitive
Example sentence:

“Our fish of the day is Barramundi”
