I am subtitling a small video about a collaboration between to surfers on the creation of a board: Twin Pin. The video starts with one of the surfers saying "I've been riding a lot of performance affords maybe two years ago, and every now and again, jumping on a twin fin and, you know, you kind of get a lot of great stuff from both, you know, you get the kind of looseness and speed out of a twin."

My question is: How can I translate into European Portuguese "riding a lot of performance affords"? Any suggestions?
