context HD certainly could be 'hemodialysis' if the authors were using the English initialism, but when you look at the context of liver function tests, and the sentence '... la valoracion del DH [and note masculine article de+el]... then hemodialysis, here, is not an option. See the reference comments below.

Not sure, but HD could be hemodiálysis. In which case it would be HD in English, (hemodialysis). As I said, I'm not sure, but it might be an avenue of enquiry.
