Is Jerk Pit an actual location in the game? A funny way to describe a beginners space, or a lower level

Ici, il faut parler d"idiots" sans trop en faire, donc une expression un peu passe-partout...

les abrutis dans leur trou

I am lacking information about the game to give an accurate translation here.

As Samuel pointed out, a jerk is an "idiot", but it can also be an "annoying person".
I tend to see it more in the former version like : "Stop being a jerk!" = stop annoying me.
The best translation to convey both meanings is "un con" : both a stupid and annoying person ("con" is more stupid, "connard" is more annoying).
However, it seems this game targets young people, so both translations are horrible in this context !

I suggest "abruti" to convey the meaning of stupidity and to keep an insult that can be used while taking into consideration your target audience.
"Pit" can be "un trou" or "une fosse", but "trou" is more generic.
There is also no need to repeat "jerks" in French, the redundance is not necessary.
