French term

dont la responsabilité ne saurait être engagée

French to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) terms and conditions
Cette possibilité ne constitue en aucun cas une obligation pour BNEE, dont la responsabilité ne saurait être engagée en cas de refus d’attribution de Points.

Have I interpreted this correctly:

This possibility is not in any way an obligation for BNEE, which will not be held liable should the Points awarded be refused.

Thank you Mari!

Mari, maybe it's time to close the question? It will take 30 seconds of your time.
Jeffrey Henson Apr 8, 2021:
Held Harmless "shall not be held liable" works great ! Alternatively, you could say "shall be held harmless..."
Nikki Scott-Despaigne Apr 3, 2021:
Pairing "shall not be held liable" with "should[it] decline to award any points", or something similar, works well.

I would avoid using "... should the points awarded be refused" as it is potentially confusing, almost contradictory. It also makes it unclear who is refusing the points.
philgoddard Apr 1, 2021:
Your translation isn't quite right, whereas Saeed's is. It would be even better to use an active construction, "if it declines to award points".
Saeed Najmi Apr 1, 2021:
also consider ''should no points be awarded''.
Hello Mari, your translation is ok.

not. cert.: whose liability / the liability of which body / cannot be incurred

Whilst - note the conjunction, nit-pickers - there are many pre-exising ProZ glossary entries akin to Conor's - that is in fact my preferred translation, I'd thought I'd add a UK City / notarial translation I had been taught to the mix in case the translation of this hallowed phraseology is for notarial attestatio.

Note that my version does not rule out vicarious liability for employees who may be held jointly liable together with the BNEE.
