French term

baille à bouts

French to English Other Ships, Sailing, Maritime Sailing
Can any sailing experts tell me what this is please? Google Translate's telling me it's a bowsprit, but I can't get confirmation of this from anywhere it from Googling it it appears to be something entirely different but no idea what to call it!
Not a lot of context to give other than that it's listed as part of the elements of "un pur course croisière", notably those "de la course": "la baille à bouts, tout près de la descent".
Thanks in advance!

@Asker Note that on board a boat "sotrage" and "stowage" are not completely synonymous.
Nikki Scott-Despaigne Mar 16, 2021:
Aka "poche à bouts" On a boat, a "bout" (the end "t" is pronounced) is a rope, (halyard, sheet). A "baille à bouts" is also known as a "poche à bouts". I used to work in a sail loft and have friends who makes these sorts of accessories, cf. All Purpose in La Trinité sur Mer. https://www.boutique-allpurpose.fr/equipement/poche-à-bout/

Thanks Tony, yes, that's what I'd seen, which is why I didn't trust Google's translation! But no idea what this might be called and am hoping someone might be able to help me with the official sailing term.

@ Asker If you do a quick Google search, among the first few hits you find descriptions of some kind of 'bag' for stowing the loose ends of sheets and halyards; this would seem to be consistent wiht its position 'adjacent to the companionway'.
I would imagine this might be a good avenue for further research...

Note from asker:
Thanks Florence. I've just done a Google search on that and after trying a few alternatives, 'halyard storage bag' seems to get the most hits and to most resemble 'baille à bouts', so I think I'll go for that, at least for now.
