First Fit OEMs

English to French Other Manufacturing texte parlant des avantages des OEM (FEO)
Bonjour,

After Market Sales activities – When OEMs support their customers once the equipment has been installed and commissioned.

Véronique Dup* Dec 13, 2020:
D'accord, merci beaucoup Tony ! C'est beaucoup plus clair pour moi.
Tony M Dec 13, 2020:
@ Véronique Not quite! It's "the other way round", so it really means 'FEO dont les produits sont utilisés en première monte'
Véronique Dup* Dec 13, 2020:
Je dois dire que je m'y perds un peu dans l'ordre de tout ces mots. "Produits FEO montés d'origine"?
Daryo Dec 13, 2020:
It's a replacement part that is exactly **the same as** what was the "first fit".
Tony M Dec 13, 2020:
@ Asker No, not at all!
In your text, they are talking about OEMs that are fitted (or presumably whose products are fitted...!) initially — hence why the proposed wording you suggest wouldn't work, as it is "the wrong way round"
Véronique Dup* Dec 13, 2020:
Donc ça serait "monté d'origine par les OEM contractants/contractuels" et "monté d'origine par les constructeurs de machines FEO", c'est comme ça que je dois comprendre ces expressions ?
florence metzger Dec 13, 2020:
monte d'origine

de première monte

No, 'premier ajustement' won't do here — it's not that kind of 'fit'.
Here, it refers to things that are originally fitted (monté) — e.g. Michelin tyres on a Citroën car. The dedicated expression here is 'de première monte', there are plenty of examples to be found on the 'Net.
