This is from a notice of intervention in opposition to a patent. Can anyone help with 'geweißt' please? All I can find is 'whitened copy'. Can that be correct? Google isn't helping me much here.

: extract/copy- the hard part was getting to redacted, which Mair did/ah missed the fact there was only 4 minutes diff (I have lockdownitis) Yes, the extra info is helpful

Indeed. As you can see, we answered more or less at the same time. I always check for other answers before clicking 'Submit answer' and then discard my answer if someone else was quicker. This time I posted it anyway for the extra info I included.

Blank comes from the French word of 'blanc' meaning white, besides which we have no indication from the question that there is in fact anything left on the excerpt or - more commonly used in probate / Scots. letters of confirmation - extract to 'redact'.

If the whole excerpt is blank - except for a header and page number, then it's not strictly a 'redacted' job.
