@Asker I wouldn't translate it as 'apprenticeship'. For example, here in the UK, an apprenticeship is where a company employs someone and then trains them in skills as well as sending them for some basic training in college. So, an electrician or plumber would start with a company as an apprentice before being fully trained and experienced and then finally becoming a qualified tradesperson. (There are graduate apprenticeships, but with these, the student spends most of their time working on the job and only some of their time at university. I don't think this is what you are describing, though)
