Positive depth stop

English to French Tech/Engineering Forestry / Wood / Timber
Bonjour,

J’ai du mal à comprendre positive depth stop dans cette phrase :

FLOOR-STANDING MORTISER - A sturdy machine with control wheels and positive depth stop.

Est-ce tout simplement une butée de profondeur ?

Merci,

Gladis

@ Asker Not quite: it's not just 'any old' depth stop, but specifically a 'positive' one — e.g. it isn't a question of just stopping turning the handle when a mark is reached, but the 'depth' movement is positively, physically stopped, eliminating any possibility of (say) operator error.
