Est-ce tout simplement une butée de profondeur ?

Tony M Sep 9, 2020: @ Asker Not quite: it's not just 'any old' depth stop, but specifically a 'positive' one — e.g. it isn't a question of just stopping turning the handle when a mark is reached, but the 'depth' movement is positively, physically stopped, eliminating any possibility of (say) operator error.
