Remove the cable sheath (and shield if present) to 1.2m or as approved for local practices.
Cut central strength member 75mm from the cable butt and remove any cable fillers.
If shield continuity is required, cut the cable sheath axially for 25mm from the cable butt, crimp ****shield clip**** on to the cable sheath using a pair of suitable pliers, protect the clip using self adessive tape.

Tal y como lo entiendo no se trata de una de las partes del cable (cubierta, núcleo, etc) sino que describe un "apaño" hecho al cable. Creo que puede servir un término más general (abrazadera, como propone Víctor, me parece muy buena opción).
