Gå till avslut

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Text from an app which offers advice on trading shares.

In a section offering advice on setting your bid price for a share it says:

Tänk på att kursen kan svänga mycket. Speciellt för aktier med högre avkastningsmöjlighet. Så lägg inte din köpkurs för högt från start.
Det går alltid att ändra din köporder innan den gått till avslut.

My question is whether 'går till avslut' refers to the end of the trading day or to when the sale is executed.

Discussion

Deane Goltermann Jul 8, 2020:
@Chris Historically, the traders 'match' the buy and sell orders to then 'close' the transaction/deal. This is all done electronically now, so the system matches buy and sell orders and then closes the transaction.
Christopher Schröder Jul 8, 2020:
“matched” is the word that springs to mind
Deane Goltermann Jul 8, 2020:
@Safetex You're right, but still 'close' has quite a few meanings as well. In the context of buy/sell securities on an app, you're talking about 'closing the deal.'
SafeTex Jul 8, 2020:
avsluta Hello

This is a bitch of a word as it can mean "terminate/cease" or "conclude/finish" depending on the context

See my question on this at:

In the present case, I just don't know what it should be or who is right

close the trade order

This refers to when the buy/sell order is recorded (the second the transaction is completed). So your context says "...before the trade order is closed."
Which when the buyer must pay and the seller must transfer the security. All of which is done electronically.

confirm/finalise/go ahead

Pretty sure it's the 'buy' order, so you can change the order before finally going ahead.

it is completed

The comments you've received are all relevant. However, I propose "completed" as that is less ambivalent than many of the other suggestions..
