A: avevamo cominciato ad andare verso il treno quando ho sentito come se venissi strangolata...il manico curvo di un bastone da trekking mi ha fermato.

per il passaggio successivo forse opterei per "mi tratteneva", inoltre forse dato il contesto ci starebbe e il manico ricurvo ci starebbe meglio "bastone da passeggio".
