Spanish term

casación

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting
This is talking about the advantages of integrating e-invoicing with ERP for accounting purposes. I think I understand what it means but I can't find anything to support it.
TIA!!

@Ben Price Hi Ben, is there the possibility that instead of "casación", they meant "causación" here?

reconciliation

I believe this is the more formal term used (instead of "matching" entries), but it essentially means the information on the invoice is reconciled with all other related information.

For example, this software has "automated invoice reconciliation" which is described as a process that "compares the purchase order, receiving documents and invoice to make sure they all match each other in items, quantity and costs. Once the match is made, an EDI system will set up the invoice for payment in the retailer’s Accounts Payable system so payment can be made at the appropriate time.".

Spanish term (edited): causación

accrual

I believe there's a typo here. I'm pretty sure they meant "causación" instead of "casación".

Please see this definition of accrual:
"Accrual refers to an entry made in the books of accounts related to the recording of revenue or expense paid without any exchange of cash."

And for what it's worth, you could google "causación y contabilización" and you'll find a large number of hits, but almost none for "casación y contabilización". Last, but not least, I've often heard the term "casación" in legal matters, but not in the field of accounting. "casación" is not an informal word anyway.

As far as I know, "conciliación" means "reconciliation".

review / appeal

I found 'casación' to mean 'appeal' or 'review' on DeepL Translator.
Example sentence:

Una vez validadas por el sistema, las facturas son integradas en el sistema de la empresa con los datos necesarios para su casación y contabilización.

Once validated by the system, the invoices are entered (integrated) into the business company's information system with the necessary data for review or appeal and accountancy.

Peer comment(s):

neutral neilmac : The terms 'appeal' or 'review' are translations for "casación" in legal contexts. DeepL and GT results should be taken with a pinch of salt.

neutral AllegroTrans : That is one meaning but what about THIS context?
