бураж = bourage (q.v.,Wikipedia), I'm most inclined to assume, is, so to speak, a "weed," though is used as a herbal medicine and companion plant in other crops, and quite conceivably in tobacco, being removed from cigarettes during tobacco production. On the other hand, I translated RAS Agr. Sci. J. for years and never came across the word per se, usually it was боргаг, бурачнк, but with so many "loan" words, who knows. Just a suggestion from the Ancient Translator.

I don't actually speak Russian :o) I only know a little of it. Yes it was a guess, but based on terms research. The context was line production of cigarettes. But as I see, the term drilling is a mistake. Another guess: maybe the term is bore?
