Pay [extra] special attention to the recruitment process.

I do not think that “redouble” would be at all natural in English. (In this connection, it is worth noting that “redouble” is used most commonly in connection with “efforts.” Even then, it is not especially common, and is of a highly formal register.)

“Pay close attention” might be acceptable, accept that this phrase is more common in relation to a discrete event than in reference to an ongoing process.
