Russian term

прогонка денежных средств

Russian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general) Internal business correspondence

Discussion

rns Jun 6, 2019:
Ah, that's sensitive!
Yuliia Behen (nee Herus) (asker) Jun 6, 2019:
It is rather illegal... as this is now under court investigation. It is an internal discussion between the employees, so I'd rather not use strong illegal words as it would be unlikely they would use them so explicitly :)
rns Jun 6, 2019:
Cash sweep (and friends) are so frighteningly specific they feel like I'm taking a risk to read some specific assumptions into the original. Which I'd rather not, for obvious reasons. :)

rns Jun 6, 2019:
Both bounce and obfuscate feel rather illegal, while прогонка feels more like some creative accounting, so they might well be too strong a word.
rns Jun 6, 2019:
bounce the money around bouncing the dirty money between shell companies to obfuscate the money trail
The more they bounce the money around, the easier it is to get lost in the shuffle.
rns Jun 6, 2019:
obfuscate the money obfuscate their money trail
they need to obfuscate that money

Yuliia Behen (nee Herus) (asker) Jun 5, 2019:
Why not? In fact, there is not that much context to connect the dots. From what I've got here, it might fit. Thank you!
Rachel Douglas Jun 5, 2019:
Cash sweep? I mentioned this under an "agree" vote for rns's version. If the particulars of your context fit, it might be this.

Various Multitran adepts, however, propose that "cash sweep" should be "перечисление свободных средств".

Peer comment(s):

agree Rachel Douglas : That's what I was going to say, unless these cases refer to the very specific operation called a "cash sweep." Any chance of that?

posting of amounts

More context would be helpful, but based on your examples, I'd say "posting of transactions, or amouts"
Note from asker:
Thank you Michael! The context is scarce. It seems to be a semi-legal operation discussed internally.
