Здравейте, колеги! Интересува ме как трябва да се интерпретира и съответно преведе "of and". На обикновен английски ми звучи като граматически грешна конструкция, но ми се появява 20 пъти в текста, който превеждам и явно на legal English има някакво значение, което не ми е ясно. Моля за мнения от колеги, които специализират в правни теми. Благодаря!

Hi Teodora, Please disregard "and" since the circled C stands naturally for the DC Comics is the copyrighted phrase/item.
I would go with "... are trademarks of ©DC Comics".

Оказа се, че изречението наистина е граматически грешно, след као попитах и адвокат, който е англоговорящ. А този символ за copyright не знам как се е появил в израза, който бях написала (trademarks of and ©), освен ако админите не са го вкарали. Не фигурира в текста, който превеждах и само внася допълнително объркване. Мерси за мненията!

Nelly Keavney, your example sentence is grammatically correct and logical. But the sentence I am asking about is a completely different construction and it does not make sense to have a cleft "of" that is not a preposition of anything preceding or does not refer to anything that follows. That's why I am trying to understand if it is a legal expression or not.

Мисля, че са сложили "of" след "trademarks", защото би изглеждало странно след символа за авторско право, който най-вероятно е използван за краткост.
