Albanian term

kërkues

Albanian to English Law/Patents Law (general) prosecutor
In a "kontest civil" you have a claimant and a defendant, and the Albanian word for claimant will be "kërkues". But in a criminal case, how do you translate "kërkues"?

Prosecutor, but not prosecuting In this context, the prosecutor was not prosecuting, just demanding the court's confirmation for adding a couple of crimes to the reason for extradition. Prosecuting was done in Sweden. Anyway, I felt I had to use the Swedish equivalent of prosecuting party.

prosecution party

https://www.thebalancesmb.com/what-is-a-plaintiff-in-a-lawsu...
"The plaintiff in a criminal case, in its broadest sense, is "society as a whole." The plaintiff isn't the victim. Depending on the crime, the government entity that has jurisdiction is considered the plaintiff. For example, kidnapping is a federal crime, so a federal prosecutor brings a case against the defendant and prosecutes it in federal court."
Example sentence:

The prosecution party must be represented by the state or private prosecutor in the consideration by the court of every criminal case.

If the prosecution party deems it necessary, it may ask as many jurors as possible to stand by during the composition of the panel.

claimant

In English law, 'plaintiff' is slightly out of date, but it's still in common use. 'Claimant' is the replacement term, or you can use 'complainant' too.
