From a document from Mexico for translation to British or American English:
"...una base configurada para ensamblar cuatro patas; postes colocados sobre soportes piña..."
There is an associated drawing which shows a cross-shaped base with castors at the corners and on the top at the centre of the base the "soporte piña" is a collar that a post is inserted into, with various items of equipment then supported from the post.
The only things that strike me is that the collar is a sort of conical shape, that could resemble the top half of a pineapple with a central hole in it, and the post arrangement is a bit like how pineapples grow, but I don't know if either of these really has anything to do with the term...
Anyway, what would you call it in English?

Usually, piña refers to a pinion gear such as in rack and pinion. Some pinion gears are cone shaped and piña fits nicely for these
However, in this case, it is not a gear and it seems it derives its name, piña, from its shape of a pineapple, .or possible to conical pinion gears.
