In the insurance sector can I translate this as 'co-insurance' or is that too general in this context?

Le prestazioni legali concernenti la maternità sono esonerate dalla franchigia e partecipazione ai costi.

My suggestion would be 'Statutory maternity benefits are exempt from the excess amount and co-insurance'.
