secretion pooling / pooling of secretions

Tal y como referido en Referencias por philgoddard, secretion pooling (pooling of secretions) traslada creo el mismo concepto de acúmulo líquido (anormal) en la hipofaringe.

As part of the clinical work-up of subjects presenting swallowing disorders 2 3, the assessment of secretions pooling degree provides an important parameter for diagnosing swallowing disorders 4–7 and designing a personal treatment plan. At clinical examination, this sign can be identified by a gurgling voice when collecting the clinical history (due to pooled secretions) or after a challenge with bolus (due to pooled bolus).

agree Charles Davis : Estaba a punto de proponer "(oro)pharyngeal pooling".

;) I was going to add pharyngeal pooling now! When oropharyngeal is used it usually goes with "of secretions [of liquid]" after it; oropharyngeal pooling of secretions / of liquid. Pharyngeal pooling looks like the most specific translation anyway.
