Discussion

Turdimurod Rakhmanov Feb 14, 2019:
yearn , long for you yearn and long for you means strong desire or an intense feeling of longing for something, typically something that one has lost or been separated from
here most probably, it is about "need"
Besides, in the given links provided by Dylan Edwards, it says:
I pray for those who yearn for more of You. Fill their longings with revelations of Yourself.

I need you more and more / more than ever / I am thirsty for You more and more

Depending on the context.
Literary meaning: As I understand, My God, I am thirsty for You; I am longing for You every day, no matter how much I am thirsty for You, still not enough.

you are not enough for me

Peer comment(s):

disagree Boris Shapiro : This is ridiculous. To rephrase your 'reference', You're not enough for me, you're just another god, they're a dime a dozen, I need someone better than you, etc.

I'm short of you

I think here something like an idiomatic expression should be used.

I did not notice that it refers to God, in this case it will be like this: "I am short of You".
Peer comment(s):

disagree Boris Shapiro : Whether you use a capital Y or not, it's bread or money or some other trivial thing you can be short of, not God (for God's sake!)

disagree Rachel Douglas : "I'm short of you" is not idiomatic, regardless of the context or capitalization. / If you don't know the difference between "to be short of SOMETHING" and your completely not-idiomatic "to be short of YOU," there's nothing I can do for you.

I yearn for more of You

'I yearn for more of You' or 'I yearn for Your presence'.

I started with the word 'crave', which you can find in a religious context ('crave God's presence'), and then moved on to 'yearn'.

Lord my God, how great Thou art … I mean this sincerely Lord, how great You are! I yearn for more of You. I long to dwell in Your Presence.

I yearn for more of God in my life. It's not the kind of burning desire that's there every minute. At times it's stronger than at others, but the yearning lingers.

Note from asker:
I appreciated this and I'd have split the credit, giving you half, if I knew how to do that/if the system allowed it. In the end, the other translator's answer was similar and earlier, that was it. Thanks again!
