Spanish term

malcogida

Spanish to English Other Slang Tweets
I am translating some tweets, which are included in a complaint for calumnies and libel. The tweets are full of slang expressions from Argentina:

"Y si me sobas bien la poronga pedazo de judía malcogida"

"malcogida" is an expression meaning that a woman is hysterical.

Thank you for your responses!

JohnMcDove Feb 13, 2019:
Not, unless your context suggest otherwise. In Spanish there is no "hysterical" connotation. She can be a witch, if you want, but not necessarily hysterical.

I think the expression implies that a woman is "histerical" because she gets no or poor sex.
Sergio Kot Feb 10, 2019:
"mal cogida" does not mean "badly screwed up" in the sense of being a "complicated" person. It is just a bad-taste, sexist and in this case antisemitic expression meaning "if I'd fuck you (instead of somebody else) you'd be OK, *you fucking jew*". Again, it's a very-rude, sexist and racist insult with the "best" of what Lunfardo has to offer.
Juan Jacob Feb 9, 2019:
"malcogida" is an expression... ...meaning that a woman is hysterical."
Not at all.
Coger = to fuck. Simple.

"badly screwed"

The meaning here is not "hysterical", but "badly fucked up". Literally.

Meaning wise I am certain.

My low confidence level is for the English expression. But the idea is that the "lady" has been "screwed (up)" literally and figuratively.

It is derogatory and offensive, of course.

Peer comment(s):

neutral patinba : Not really, John. It refers mainly to a lack of sex or poor sex that is supposedly responsible for the woman's foul character.

Probably my Henglish is not the best here, but yup, it could go either way. Chema's note is on point. What you say is what I meant with "badly fucked" almost as in "fubar"
agree Juan Jacob : De acuerdo. Insulto bastante común y sexista, por supuesto. Nada que ver con lo histérico.

Muchas gracias, Juan. :-)
agree Vidomar (X) : In Portuguese, people say "mal comida" (poorly fucked) and the softer version "mal amada" (poorly loved), both to refer to a woman who is in a bad mood, angry. If "malcogida" has the same meaning, "badly screwed", "badly fucked" seem to be good options.

Muito obrigado, Vidomar. :-)
