Spanish term

grafa ombu

Spanish to English Art/Literary Textiles / Clothing / Fashion
This is a description of an art show by and Argentine artist:

Para su muestra Fuga, joya, la artista instaló dos vitrinas horizontales y un estante forrados con tela azul de grafa Ombú, donde dispuso un conjunto de collares de diseños elaborados y complejos, con formas que evocaban exóticos modelos de joyería africana.

It seems to be some sort of khaki.
Thanks

Don't translate Ombu is a tree.I don't know whether it refers to the colour or the design, but if it appears with a capital letter it's probably a proper noun.

Grafa Ombú brand (blue) serge

Grafa was a company, Ombú was its brand of work clothes made of serge (twill).

Thanks Marie. I think they are the same thing.
agree Monica Colangelo : 100%. My Dad used to wear them at work. Here's the company's timeline http://www.ombuindumentaria.com.ar/empresa.php. It will soon be 100 years old.

Unlikely, true. We all become mines of useless information on this site.
agree Maximo Wilhelm Muñoz : No need to place the term ´brand´ neither the description in paranthesis... Just by capitalizing both words would do fine. Best, Maximo.
