Spanish term

abridura

Spanish to English Other Idioms / Maxims / Sayings
A handbook about an art education program in Chile. A girl here complains about her frustration with one of the activities:

“Es muy difícil”. No es la única que está en problemas, pues se escuchan constantes apelativos en este sentido, en todos los grupos. “Ya pos, tía. ¿Por qué no viene para acá?”; exclama con frustración una de las niñas. “Es que, tía, no tiene ‘abridura’ acá”, señala, desanimada, otra estudiante.

or "way in" maybe. Child talk for "apertura". Sounds like the girl is trying to open something and needs help.

openness, close-mindedness

Hi Wendy,
According to an Americanism dictionary, 'abridura' is a slang word for 'apertura'. So I would translated as 'openness' or maybe depending on further context as 'they are close-minded'.

flexibility

Flexibility or "come and go" seems to be what they are talking about here.
