Discussion

Rachel Fell Jan 15, 2019:
I agree with Tom, that's what I understand as ground cover.
Thomas Walker Jan 15, 2019:
@Andy In the U.S. I've mostly heard "ground cover" to designate certain classes of plants, that stay close to the ground & do not grow into bushes or shrubs or trees. Landscapers use the term in their plans & descriptions, & nurseries use it for certain types of plants they sell.
Wendy Streitparth Jan 15, 2019:
The text doesn't say "surrounded by mountains", it says "compuesto por montañas"
Andy Watkinson Jan 15, 2019:
I've always heard "ground cover".

low vegetation cover, shrub

Example sentence:

Improvement in remote sensing of low vegetation cover

the best result for low vegetation cover.

Peer comment(s):

agree Muriel Vasconcellos : I agree that 'vegetation cover' is more widely used.
