¡Gracias!

festival
The true meaning is 'pilgrimage', but since the subject is tourism, festival would be more appropriate.
The first ref uses the word 8 times and the second 16 times.
It could also be called a religious festival.

AllegroTrans
: This is a proper noun and it needs to be used here (explanatory translation can follow in brackets)

: 'festival' is the best generic choice. If, as AllegroTrans suggests, you keep 'romería' as a proper noun, by explaining it once and then using 'romería' elsewhere you present the exotic throughout. Not a bad option.

Pilgrimage, a journey undertaken for a religious motive. Although some pilgrims have wandered continuously with no fixed destination, pilgrims more commonly seek a specific place that has been sanctified by association with a divinity or other holy personage. The institution of pilgrimage is evident in all world religions and was also important in the pagan religions of ancient Greece and Rome.
