The lesions in the skin would agree with the history of demodicosis and the mites are prominent within follicles and more chronic middermal granulomas have also formed due to follicular rupture.
The dermal interstitial inflammation is very severe, much more so than in any of the other cases and it could agree with the severity of the infection and also with possible secondary bacterial pyoderma.
