How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Sorry for taking so long to reply, I will happily change the question to Pro, for the sake of the answerers, but I cannot find the mechanism

"Pro" refers to the question, not the person, and the chosen answer gets points whether the question is pro or non pro.

The way I see it, classifying your own question as non-pro is basically saying: "This is probably easy, but I'm not sure and I'd like your opinion".

Voting someone else's question non-pro is saying: "This is easy and you should have researched it".

I think this is a pro question, because although "manifiesto" is fairly straightforward, "desembarque" takes a bit of thinking about.

First of all you get answers from people who specialise in the subject. Some people who are specialists in a subject do not reply to non-PRO answers, therefore, you get less replies. The person who has the right answer of a PRO question gets points. I think that is not the case with non-PRO questions. In addition, PROZ rules say that if a normal bilingual person can answer a question without the use of a dictionary, the question is so easy that it should be non-PRO but if the question requires research it should be PRO. I personally think that is the case here, cheers, Aida
