Spanish term

rubricas (rúbricas?)

Spanish to English Social Sciences Education / Pedagogy evaluation instruments (Chile)
This is from a description of a train-the-trainer workshop on competency-based evaluation (Chile), taught with emphasis on modern interactive tools. I can't imagine what they're talking about.

The context:

Thank you all! Obviously this was a gap in my knowledge. I appreciate all your solid comments.

agree Lorraine Bathurst : Rubric is a common term used in education - it does mean a strict set of criteria. "A rubric is a great tool for teachers because it is a simple way to set up a grading criteria for assignments." / https://www.uen.org/rubric/know.shtml

criteria / domains

Hi Muriel. I have a feeling what they mean here are criteria, i.e., different evaluation areas or headings. Anyway, at least that's how my wife (who's a secondary teacher) seems to use the term.

The functional performance of the teacher assessing the contribution of the teacher to the fulfilment of the school’s mission and objectives using criteria such as attendance, the carrying out of duties, participation in projects, links with the community and participation in in-service training and personal development activities.

There could be another term for them in English education jargon but this is basically what I understand by "rúbricas". I saw "domains" used in the reference above, in one place in the same sentence too, so I'm not sure which would be correct in your context, look:

This framework has influenced a large number of teacher evaluation systems around the world. For instance, Chile‟s four domains and twenty criteria of assessment were largely inspired by the Framework (Avalos and Assael, 2006). Another example can be found in the Professional Standards for Teachers in England (TDA, 2007b).

rubrics

Speaking as a former teacher, the term you need to use here is rubrics. These are basically charts that educators use to assign a points value to different abilities that they hope a student will demonstrate in a particular activity, such as in an essay or a project.
Example sentence:

The teacher created a rubric to use in grading the projects.

Thanks, but this answer was already proposed. If you had additional information, it would go in the Discussion section.
