English term

flicked/flicking

English to French Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng electronic devices (in a patent)
A subséquent touch action comprising a set of touches of the at least three finger touch combination that is flicked in a first direction, and wherein the pyramidical arrangement of the second set of symbols is displayed in response to a touch action that comprises a set of touches of the at least three finger touch combination that is flicked in a second direction.

The system of claim 1 wherein the processor is further opérable to disable présentation of the pyramidical arrangement in response to at least one of essentially simultaneousiy tapping each finger touch of the touch combination and essentially simultaneously directionally flicking each finger touch of the touch combination.

To aid in the discussion below, the terms essentially simultaneous and essentially simultaneously are used to address the fact that touches of a touch combination involving two or more touches may not be applied, tapped, slid, or flicked at exactly the same instance in time.

Discussion

Kevin Oheix Jul 22, 2018:
flick:
faire glisser, dévier (dans un sens) par effleurement, contact rapide

flick action = action de raccourci (pour naviguer plus rapidement)
touch flick = raccourci tactile

Appelé "pichenette" dans certains contextes informels mais ici petit geste et balayage rapide (swipe, lifting finger off the screen in desired direction) donc je suis d'accord avec FX Fraipont.

Exemple brevet :

"La présente invention vise à proposer un dispositif d'entrée d'informations doté d'un moyen d'utilisation qui s'adapte à l'intention de l'utilisateur et qui permet une meilleure identification des gestes tels que l'effleurement.. ("flicking" dans version anglaise)"

Mais, à l'image de nombreux téléphones à écran tactile, les touches vibrent pour ... dans les menus, simplement en l'effleurant dans un sens ou dans l'autre."
Peer comment(s):

agree Tony M : Yes, of course, this is the action used on many smartphones, it's really rather like 'glisser', except that it is a briefer, more abrupt gesture...
