Preamble
"The General Preambles for Trades 2017 as published by the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors"
"The contents of this document are intended to cover workmanship and materials encountered in a significant
majority of projects. If a material is not encountered in a significant majority of projects, its preamble will in all likelihood
not be included in this document."
Préambule me semble étrange : s'agirait tout simplement de descriptions ?
Merci d'avance,

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.
How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:
An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)
A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).
Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.
When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.
* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

"The General Preambles for Trades 2017 published by the Association of South African Quantity Surveyors is designed to support and extend the abbreviated descriptions utilised in this Bill of Quantities by inter alia referring to SANS construction standards. Where such model preambles are not applicable (eg where BS or Euro construction standards are applicable or the design consultants provide other preambles/specifications for insertion), users are to ensure that the abbreviated descriptions when read in conjunction with the Standard System of Measuring Building Work (seventh edition) for works within South Africa or the Standard Method of Measuring Building Work for Africa 2015 (first edition) for works elsewhere in Africa, represent the full description by extending the abbreviated Bill of Quantities descriptions and/or by inserting appropriate preambles or specifications."

Cf. discussion.

The point of the "Preambles" "to support and extend the abbreviated descriptions" shows that the word is used in the usual (French too) sense of something that precedes the main text to give the reader information that will help them understand the latter
