Широкого контекста нет; судя по всему, рассматривается иск о недостаточности или несоответствии предоставленных производителю чертежей для изготовления лопастей турбины...

Одна сторона утверждает, что чертежи не обладали "новизной" (novelty), а были воспроизведены по образцу старых, и что, соответственно, лопасти были "reverse engineered":

...the company that carried out the reverse engineering on certain blades corresponding to those installed at XXX's plant...

the Expert’s opinion analyzed two different sets of drawings and reached two different conclusions:

(i) Drawings spontaneously submitted to the Court by ___, which according to the Court’s Expert do not correspond to YYY drawings and, due to their standard level of accuracy, might potentially be the result of reverse engineering...

(ii) Drawings retrieved amongst the file in YYY’s servers during the description operations, which on the contrary in the Court Expert’s opinion are substantially identical to XXX drawings and, in consideration of the level of details included in the drawings, cannot be the result of the reverse engineering procedure indicated by YYY nor they could be obtained without resort to ___ drawings.
